Safety
As A Second Language
Safety Council has created a new instructor-led program called
Safety as a Second Language, in an effort to meet a growing need in the
workplace. Taught in Spanish, Safety as a Second Language is designed to build
basic safety knowledge and safety awareness for Spanish-speaking adults, and to
teach the “hows” and the “whys” of safety.

Coaching the Forklift Operator

9:00 a.m.—1:00 p.m.
It is an OSHA requirement to train anyone who operates a powered industrial
tuck, whether they operate the truck daily or once a year. This half day seminar
prepares your drivers to operate forklifts safely, while complying with OSHA
regulations.
This comprehensive program covers:

- Picking Up and Stacking a Load

Diversity: The Future of the Workplace
Overview/Description:
Employers must understand the ways in which the idea of diversity will continue
to expand in the years to come. They need to prepare for demographic changes
that will alter both the definition of corporate culture and practices for
hiring, retention, and interaction with the company. This course explores the
need for a holistic approach to workplace diversity, and the effects of
incorporating a work/life initiative into business strategy.

Ethics in the Workplace
Overview/Description
What does being ethical mean? How does one make the best ethical choice in a
complex project management environment? What are legal requirements, and how can
you spot the moment when conflict of interest has occurred? In today's world,
managers must have a clear comprehension of these ethical responsibilities.
Managers must also be aware of their professional duty to contribute to the body
of project management knowledge, to pass on that knowledge to others, and to
assess and enhance individual competence. This course teaches prospective
managers techniques for making ethical choices; contract elements for legal
requirements, and how to manage conflicts of interest. It also suggests ways to
share lessons learned, and to enhance personal abilities.
Target Audience
This series is targeted specifically for project managers, project team members,
functional managers with employees assigned to project teams, project
stakeholders, any team manager or member interested in project management,
executives committed to their organization's growth, managers required to take

Strategic management is defined as the set of decisions and actions that result
in the formulation and implementation of plans designed to achieve a company's
objectives. Strategic management is future oriented and long-term focused. This
course focuses on the planning phase of strategic management, which includes
defining company mission, performing internal analysis, and evaluating the
external environment.

Business students and professionals who want to gain knowledge of the strategic
planning process fundamentals.

| Changes to OSHA’s Recordkeeping Forms for Year 2004 The revised OSHA Form 300, Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses is now available on OSHA's website at http://www.osha.gov/recordkeeping/new-osha300form1-1-04.pdf. The forms, which are required for employers to use in recording injuries and illnesses, have changed in several important ways for 2004.
