The Coalition for Commercial Truck Safety is dedicated to improving road safety by:

• Partnering with like minded organizations who are dedicated to improving road safety.

• Providing education to the public about the need for mandatory safety standards for commercial vehicles and for driver training.

• Providing education to drivers of passenger vehicles about how to drive around and near commercial trucks on our roadways.

• Working with legislative groups to require minimum safety standards for large trucks.

• Florida is ranked 2nd for truck related fatalities in the country.

• Palm Beach County is ranked 1st in Florida for traffic fatalities involving trucks and 4th in truck related crashes.

• Less than 1/3 of new drivers are properly trained.

• No minimum classroom or behind the wheel training is required.
